Legia 2-1 Lech
It was one of the most important moment of the season. After the lost against Jagiellonia, Romeo Jozak's players had to win to get closer to the leader. The Legionaries started perfectly scoring the goal in the 2nd minute. Marko Vesović used the long-ball pass from William Remy, who played as defensive midfielder, and opened the score. For a long time Legia controled the game and dominated.
In the second half Lech played more offensively and it brought effect in 63th minute by the goal from Cristian Gytkjaer. Last 30 minutes it was like a rollercoaster. Both teams was determined to win the game and there were lot of good oportunities to do it. Legia was concentrated on a counterattack but Michał Kucharczk scored a winning goal from penalty kick. Our winger confirmed that he is the most important player when Legia is in trouble.
Thanks to this result the Legionaries got closer to the Jagiellonia and are now five points ahead of Lech Poznań. Next matchday, Legia will play against Lechia, away, on Sunday, March 11th, 6 pm CET.
