Dean Klafurić stays as a Legia head coach
"Dean Klafuric took over Legia in a difficult moment and led us to win the Championship and the Polish Cup. We had the opportunity to get to know his style of action, tactical skills. He already knows well the team and has good contact with players. All this made him one of the candidates for Legia's coach next season. He convinced us that he has a development plan for this team, consistent with our capabilities and expectations, as well as consistent with the vision of the club's development. We had several candidates with whom we had advanced conversations, but after the last meetings with Dean, we decided that he become the coach of Legia next season. I wish him good luck and I assure you that he will get the full support of the whole club in achieving the goals"- said Dariusz Mioduski, president of Legia Warsaw.
Dean Klafurić is Legia head coach since April 2018. Taking over the team at the end of the season, he won seven out of eight matches and won Polish Cup and the Championship. The new Klafuric's assistant will be Ivan Prelec, who worked as a coach at HNK Gorica. Press conference with Klafurić on Tuesday at 10.00 pm.
