Goodbye, Europe

Legia drew 0-0 against Sheriff Tiraspol in the second leg od fourth qualifying round of UEFA Europa League and were therefore eliminated from the competition.

Legionnaires needed one goal for promotion. Jacek Magiera's players dominated but most of the attacks ended outside the box. Legia's situation was complicated after a red card for Michał Pazdan in the end of the first half. The defender fouled one of his rivals and then argued with the refree.

Contrary to expectations, in the second half legionaries didn't rush to attack. They created one good opportunity within 45 minutes, wasted by Kasper Hamalainen, so we cannot even talk about bad luck in this game.

This result  means that Legia Warsaw wil not play in group stage of European cups for the first time since 2012.
