Legia Warsaw confirmed the signing of Marko Vešović from HNK Rijeka. Montenegrin national team player positively passed medical and put pen to paper on a three and half year deal.

Marko Vešović was born on August 28, 1991 in Podgorica. He is a rightback/wingback and Montenegrin national team player, in which he made his debut in October 2013. Throught his career he played in well known european clubs like Crvena Zvezda and Torino, but he played his best in HNK Rijeka. He won Croatian championship and national cup in 2017. In this season Veović played 16 games and scored two goals.

"I watched Marko Vesović for several years in Rijeka. Also last season, when he won the championship and the cup with the club. He played as rightback or right wing, he also played on the left side. We bought a player who has a lot of quality, can appear on many positions and in many systems. This is the best right defender in the Croatian league, the type of winner, fast, fighting, playing at high intensity. I am very happy that Vesović will strengthen our team and give him a fighting spirit on the pitch" said Ivan Kepcija, technical director of Legia.

"For me, he was the best player of Rijeka in the last season. Unbelievable character, his skills in direct football are very high. Our fans should love it" added coach Romeo Jozak.

Marko Vesović will play with the number 20 in Legia. He goes with Legia to a training camp in Florida from 10 to 20 January.
