Śląsk 2-1 Legia

Author: Jakub Mieżejewski
Legia Warsaw lost 2-1 to Śląsk Wrocław in the LOTTO Ekstraklasa matchday 8. Legionaries are now 5th in the league table.

It has not been easy days for Jacek Magiera and his players, who were critisied by supporters because of their poor performance. After international break match against Śląsk Wrocław was the first true test for the team. Legionaries played with two strikers, Armando Sadiku and Jarosław Niezgoda, for the first time in the new season.

Disappointedly, Jacek Magiera's players didn't play well and created only a few chances. Legia played slowly, inaccurately and without idea. In the end of the first half Jarosław Niezgoda scores after free kick and we thought that Legia would win the game. But in the second half we could see Marcin Robak 'show' who scored two goals for Śląsk after individual mistakes of our defenders.

It was Legia's third defeat in the league season. After this game legionaries are 5th in the league table with two points lose to the leader.

Ślask Wrocław 2-1 Legia Warsaw

Goals: Robak (p) 62', Robak 68' - Niezgoda 37'

In the next matchday, Legia will take on Cracovia, home on Friday, September 17, at 6 PM CET.
