Legia in European cups

Legia have played in the European cups for many seasons. Our club have been successful in these competitions (e.g. having played in European Champion Club’s Cup semifinal in 1970 and European Cup Winners’ Cup semifinal in 1991) but we have also suffered some painful defeats. In this section you can see the results of all the games that Legia have played in the European cups over the years.

Legia debuted in the European cups in 1956 when we faced Slovan Bratislava in European Champion Club’s Cup round of 32 and lost 2-4 on aggregate. One of the club’s biggest achievements was reaching the same competition’s semifinal in 1970 when we were knocked out by Feyenoord Rotterdam (0-2 on aggregate). In 1995 we made Polish football history, being the first football club from Poland to qualify for Champions League group stage. This season we got as far as the quarterfinal where Panathinaikos beat us 3-0 on aggregate. Below you will find links to the results of all the games that Legia have played in European cups, divided between Champions League (former European Champion Club’s Cup), Europa League (former UEFA Cup), European Cup Winners’ Cup and Intertoto Cup.
