Bartosz Bereszyński leaves Legia Warsaw

Author: Kacper Ruszczak
Bartosz Bereszyński has changed the club. After four years spent in Legia Warsaw, the right-back decided to continue his football career in Italy, where he signed for Seria A side Sampdoria.

Bereszyński became a Legia player in the beginning of 2013, when he signed from Lech Poznań. During his four years in Warsaw, he played a total of 108 games with "L" on his chest in all competitions. Bereszyński won three championships of Poland with Legia (2013, 2014, 2016), as well as three Polish Cups (2013, 2015, 2016). With our team, he also played in European cups group stages: UEFA Champions League (2016-17) and UEFA Europa League (2014-15, 2015-16). His good performance in Legia earned him a call-up to the Poland national team. So far, he has been capped three times.

"I will always come back to Warsaw with pleasure, and I don't say 'goodbye', I say 'see you'. The time I spent in Legia was special and fantastic. So far in my football career, Legia has been the most important chapter. I would like to thank my team mates, and coaches, especially Magiera and Urban, who had done a lot for me. I will always keep my fingers crossed for Legia, and I believe that the team can eliminate Ajax in the UEFA Europa League round of 32. Hopefully, we'll see each other in Europe next season," said Bereszyński after leaving Warsaw.

Bartosz, thank you for everything and good luck!
