Legia are two steps from championship

Author: Kacper Ruszczak
On Sunday, we witnessed a crucial game in the run for championship in LOTTO Ekstraklasa. Table-topping Legia Warsaw travelled to Białystok to face Jagiellonia (2nd place in the table). The match ended in a 0-0 draw, quite a good result for the Legionnaires, who are still leaders, two points ahead of Jagiellonia, Lech, and Lechia.

The are two games left to be played in LOTTO Ekstraklasa, and Legia Warsaw have everything in their hands. Two wins will secure that the championship title stays in Warsaw, regardless of results in the other matches.

The season ends on June 4. Next Sunday, May 28, Legia will face Korona Kielce away, and in the last matchday Jacek Magiera's men will take on Lechia Gdańsk at home.
