Legia signed Hildeberto Pereira from Benfica

Legia Warsaw is pleased to announce the signing of Hildeberto Jose Morgado Pereira from Benfica on a 4-year deal. ''Berto'' recently played for Nottingham Forest on loan. Welcome to Legia!

Born on March 2, 1996 in Lisbon, Berto played for Ponte Frielas, Odivelas, and Loures, before coming to Benfica Academy in 2011. In 2013-14 he reached the UEFA Youth League final with Benfica U-19 team, where they lost 3-0 to FC Barcelona. In the whole campaign, Pereira scored three goals and had three assists, and his best performance was in the game against Real Madrid, where he scored helping his team to win 4-0.



At that time Berto played as a striker, but later in his senior carrer in Benfica B and Nottingham Forest, he played as right-back or winger. Legia's new signing had a good season in English Championship, having played 25 games, scoring 2 goals, and having two assists. In the poll conducted by "Nottingham Post", 65% fans voted that Pereira's loan agreement from Benfica should be extended.
