Legia Warsaw's Statement

Author: Legia Warsaw
In connection to the news appearing in the media concerning incidents which took place in the hotel in Sochocin where Hapoel Petah Tikva team stayed, Legia Warsaw informs that after perusing facts and talking to representatives of MKS Ciechanów against whom Hapoel played a test game we do not see any grounds or evidence which allow to claim that people participating in the incident were fans of Legia Warsaw.

Legia Warsaw fans were at the time involved in supporting the Club in the stadium in Warsaw at the UEFA Champions League qualifying match against FC Astana.

We underline the fact that the media which baselessly publish news about Legia Warsaw fans' alleged participation in the incident, of which there is no evidence, put the Club's reputation at serious risk.

We also inform that Legia Warsaw contacted Hapoel Petah Tikva for explanation and dementi.
