Pogoń Szczecin 1-3 Legia. Fourth win in a row!

Author: Jakub Mieżejewski
Legia Warsaw defeated Pogoń Szczecin 3:1 in the LOTTO Ekstraklasa matchday 15. Thanks to this result legionaries are on the 2nd place in the league.

After very important victory against Arka Gdynia, it was certain that legionaries would keep up the good form, especially that Pogoń was on the last place in the table with only nine points.

But our rivales started the game aggressively and offensively. They could score a goal in the first minute of the match. Legia owed a favorable result to Arkadiusz Malarz's  good interventions. Romeo Jozak's players didn't played well, but they opened the score after another perfect counterattack and penalty kick shot by Łukasz Broź. It was his first goal for Legia in the league.

In the second half legionaries played better. They controled the game, but unexpectedly Kamil Drygas scored for Pogoń. After couple minutes of chaos, Thibault Moulin scored wonderful goal from 20 meteres. In 83rd minute Lasha Dvali scored an own goal after good cross given by Michał Kucharczyk.

It was fourth consecutive win in the LOTTO Ekstraklasa. Legia is now on 2nd place in the league table, one point behind Górnik Zabrze. After two week international break, Legia will play against Górnik Zabrze, home, on Sunday. November 19, 6pm CET.
