Zagłębie Lubin 2-3 Legia Warsaw
There were three new players in the first line-up, Domagoj Antolić and Chris Philipps in centre line and William Remy as a central defender. The Legionnaires played well in the first half and scored a goal in the 16th minute after a corner kick by Jarosław Niezgoda. It was the only good opportunity created by Romeo Jozak's players in this part of the game. Legia looked impressive especially in a defence because Zagłębie was unable to make any interesting action.
In the second half Jakub Mares scored for Zagłębie in the 46th minute. It was a bit of a wake-up call for Legia. After twenty minutes of chaos Jarosław Niezgoda made it 2:1 scoring beautyfully from the distance. When everybody thought that it was end of emotions in that game Mares scored from the penalty kick in the added time. A Draw would be a fair score, to be honest, but in the last action Zagłębie's goalkeaper knocked out Eduardo da Silva and the refree pointed to the spot and Miroslav Radović gave three points for Legia in the 8th minute of added time.
Thanks to this result the Legionnaiers stayed to the 1st position in the league table five points ahead of Lech and Jagiellonia. Those two teams won't play theirs games in the matchday 22. The most important thing is Jarosław Niezgoda and new players' good form. Next matchday, Legia will play against Śląsk Wrocław, at home, on Friday, January 16th, 8:30 pm CET.
