Arkadiusz Reca a Legia Warsaw player

Polish national Arkadiusz Reca has signed a contract with Legia Warsaw, which will remain in power until the end of the 2027/28 season.

Arkadiusz Reca is a 30-year-old defender with a wealth of experience gained in the Italian Serie A, where he played over 100 matches. He impresses with his physical conditions - he measures 187 cm in height - and his versatility in playing on the left side of the pitch, where he has played both as a defender and a swing defender. He comes to Legia Warsaw from Spezia Calcio, which plays in Serie B. On the Apennine Peninsula, he also represented the colors of Atalanta BC and FC Crotone.

- After the experience I gained in the West, I feel that I have changed as a footballer and as a person. I am happy to be in Warsaw. I chose Legia because it is the biggest club in Poland. Coming back to the country, I wanted to choose a place where I can continue to develop. I want to win trophies together with Legia - says new Legia Warsaw player Arkadiusz Reca.

The defender has played 15 games for the Polish national team. He made his debut in the red-and-white colors in 2018 in a Nations League match against Italy. He was in the wide squad for the 2022 World Cup.

- This is another transfer that we announced. What will Arek bring to the team? Speed, fitness and playing in two positions when it comes to the left side. These are his strengths. I believe he will strengthen and increase the quality of the team. He is certainly another piece for coach Edward Iordănescu to utilise. It will make it easier for him to select his lineup for the right matches - says Legia Warsaw sporting director Michal Zewlakow.

Arkadiusz Reca will play for Legia Warsaw with number 13, and signed a three-year contract with the club on Friday.
