Legia Warsaw has exercised its option for a definitive transfer of Ruben Vinagre from Sporting CP. One of PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa's best players in the autumn round has tied himself to the club with a contract valid until June 2028.

The 25-year-old Ruben Vinagre arrived at Legia in July last year. So far, he has played in 28 games, in which he assisted 9 times - the most in the team. Vinagre is also the player with the most completed crosses in PKO BP Ekstraklasa and has the highest dribble success rate.

"I am very happy because I feel great since I joined Legia. The management is confident in my skills and what I have shown so far. I want to give Legia even more - this is just the beginning. Vinagre is a former Portugal youth national team player, the 2016 Under 17 and 2018 Under 19 European champion. He has played more than 50 matches in European cups. With Wolverhampton Wanderers he reached the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League. With Sporting CP and Olympiakos he played in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
